I’m a Junior at SMU (Singapore Management University), where I’m currently pursuing a BSc. Economics with a Double Major in Quantitative Finance.
Recent Focus #
I’ve been focusing on my analytical depth on equity research. From working on a stock pitch — built a DCF to compare Micron against Samsung, SK Hynix — finding verifiable numbers to trust was just as interesting as the valuation itself. I landed on a bear case for memory-chip pricing as competitor capacity comes back online.
I’ve been writing this blog to be a better technical communicator. My recent piece featured Singapore’s Productivity Paradox — on whether the growth model can shift from extensive to intensive, and what that would ask of regulation. Writing for it aligns with early research work I’m doing under AP Rachel Tan, as I explore the depths of Labour Economics for my senior thesis.
Previous summers were spent on legal internships: in family law, and legal aid. It was a fun mixture of financial forensics, diving into case-research and strategising legal arguments for early drafts that were eventually filed to the courts. It helped me understand the power of words.
